Balances

Overview

The BI has several balances to weigh a variety of samples with varying capacities.

Balance XP204s XP204S Mettler Toledo Analytical Balance 

Weigh up to 210 g with a readability of 0.1 mg. Rugged construction, with a stainless steel weighing pan, provides precise and accurate measurements with low static interference. The easy-to-use colour touchscreen display allows users to easily and quickly tare weighing containers prior to loading sample. Units also warn the user if tolerance limits are violated. This unit also has draft-shield protection, from easily sliding doors, and level locking feet.

Balance AL204 AL204 Mettler Toledo Analytical Balance

Weight up to 210 g with a readability of 0.1 mg on this high-resolution analytical balance. A 4-decimal place balances come standard with weighing 18/10 chromium-nickel steel weighing pan, and painted die cast aluminum housing bases for extra durability, level indicator and glass draft shield for precision weighing results.

Balance MS3002S MS3002S Mettler Toledo Precision Balance

Weigh up to 3200 g with a readability of 0.01 g. This reliable, accurate and durable unit has high-grade chemical-resistant die-cast aluminum housing, level lock feet, overload protection and an easy-to-read high contrast display.

Balance ME3002S Mettler Toledo Precision Balance

Weigh up to 3200 g with a readability of 0.01 g. This reliable, accurate and durable unit has high-grade chemical-resistant die-cast aluminum housing, level lock feet, overload protection and an easy-to-read high contrast display.

Triple beam balance Ohaus Triple Beam “Junior” Balance (TJ611)

Weigh up to 610 g with a readability of 0.1 g on a classic mechanical balance with notched and tiered beams for ease in reading, positive poise positioning. Sample placement is on a 5.9 in (150 mm) pan.

Some balances are within CL-2 labs and require special training for access.
