Ultracentrifuge (Thermo-Fisher)

Overview

The Thermo Scientific Sorvall WX90 Ultracentrifuge offers quiet, safe and powerful separation, with high speeds up to 90,000 rpm (692,000 x g).

Actual centrifuge speeds depend on the rotor (four rotors available).

Touch screen and keypad control for programming of speed (RPM; requires RCF-g conversions), time (Hours:Minutes) and temperature (0-40oC), in addition to detailed program scheduling.

Four rotors are available:

*Max. Speed is based on homogeneous samples with a density of <1.2 g/mL when the “Design Mass” is not exceeded.
tMaximum speed must be reduced to 27000 rpm after 1000 runs.
