Overview

Dedicated bacterial culture lab with the following equipment

  • Biological Safety Cabinets
  • Centrifuges
  • Incubators
  • 4oC Fridge, -20°C Freezer, -80°C Freezer
  • MaxQ 8000 Shaking incubators with optional orbital shaking and refrigeration; compatible with culture tubes, Erlenmeyer (baffled) flasks and microplates
  • Tecan Plate Reader used for cell growth data
  • Water bath to heat up materials for culture work

  • Biosafety Level 1 and 2 work

Requirements

  • McMaster Biosafety Office approval of biological work is required
  • Biointerfaces Institute internal approval of biological work is required
