The BI promotes a safe working environment with high standards for lab safety. The BI Safety Program operates within McMaster’s University Health and Safety (UHS) and Biosafety guidelines.
Before gaining access to BI labs and equipment, individuals must learn about the BI Safety Program and supporting policies, through BI Access Requirements, and become a “BI User”.
