The Biological Preparation Suite provides lab space and equipment for the preparation, purification, and analysis of biological agents (Risk Group 1 & 2: mammalian and bacterial) and/or molecules.

The Synthesis and Screening Suite includes high-throughput synthesis lab space and equipment to assist in the planning, development and implementation of projects relating to material synthesis and surface chemistry.

The Surface Characterization Suite features an Imaging and Scanning X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (XPS) Microprobe (PHI Quantera II) which allows for large and small area spectroscopy, as well as high-throughput XPS on microarrays. Other items complement surface and particle characterization of chemical composition, size, tensile strength, hydrophobicity and adsorption.

The Bioselectivity Suite includes mass spectrometry equipment, including an imaging MALDI mass spectrometer (Bruker UltrafleXtreme) capable of tissue and array imaging, a high resolution ESI-Q-TOF mass spectrometer (Bruker Maxis 4G) connected to a UHPLC (Dionex UltiMate 3000), as well as an ESI-ion trap mass spectrometer (Thermo LCQ Fleet).

The Diagnostics Suite includes equipment for the screening and printing of molecules for point-of-care diagnostics.
